Reminder: Cookie Dough/Popcorn Pick-up on Monday, April 22

Cookie dough and popcorn orders can be picked up in the Downers Grove South Orchestra Room on Monday, April 22 from 2:30 to 6:00 pm

Time to Get Ready for the District 99 Orchestra Banquet!

Dear Orchestra Families,

Our annual Orchestra Banquet is less than a month away, on Friday, May 3 at North High School. This year we're continuing the Basket Raffle fundraising tradition which supports the ongoing need to replace the school-owned string instruments and bows. (Last year we raised nearly $1,200!)

To make this a success, we need everyone's help collecting and assembling donations to be raffled/auctioned off. Basket ideas include:
  • Finals Week Care Package (lots of food and goodies)
  • Summer Picnic Package (basket, blanket, candles, etc.)
  • Fourth of July theme (anything red, white and blue)
  • Other potential themes -- spa essentials, music, pets, fitness, art, entertainment, food, jewelry, etc.
Donations can be made by individual families or a group of people. Single items will also be accepted; we'll assemble them into baskets. Other ways to help:
  • Join a team that will solicit donations from local businesses. (Don't worry, we'll provide instructions and coordinate efforts.)
  • Come early on the day of the banquet to help set things up. 
  • Tap your creative side by helping get donations ready for display.

Four Helpers Needed for Spring Musical Performances

Please let us know if you can help FOFA's fundraising efforts by selling presentation roses at the spring musical performances, Thursday April 18 through Sunday April 21. Four volunteers are needed -- one for each performance.

Plan to arrive 30 minutes early to help manage sales before the show and during intermission (you won't miss the performance!). You'll be partnered with a FOFA board member who can explain more when you arrive.
